How to Submit Your Story
We welcome the submission of your story for potential posting on this website, and appreciate your willingness to share your personal journey with others.
Submission Guidelines. There are no strict submission guidelines regarding length or general content. However, InnisfreeCancerHelp.org will review all submissions prior to posting, and reserves the right to deny posting if the reviewer finds that the story:
• includes false and/or erroneous information
• includes the name(s) of any medical professional(s), or
• personally attacks a person and/or organization by name.
We feel that there are many helpful ways to express a range feelings and ideas in a personal story, without including false information or attacking an individual or
organization by name.
We encourage you to review our library of current stories prior to submission.
Review Process. The review process generally takes 2-3 weeks, and may involve a brief conversation (or e-mail correspondence) with you. You will be notified within 2-3 weeks of submission if we have any questions, and/or when your story is scheduled for posting.
How to Submit your Story. Send us your story electronically
by E-mail.
• Format. If submitting by e-mail, please submit your story in MicroSoft WORD,
ver. 6.0 or earlier. If you are working on MAC or are using another word-processing system, please paste your story directly in the mail window, and do not send as an attachment.
• Byline. Please indicate whether you wish to include your name with your story as a byline, and whether or not you wish to receive comments from readers. NOTE: If you do wish to receive comments from readers, please indicate the e-mail address where you wish to receive this correspondence.
• Contact. InnisfreeCancerHelp.org may need to contact you directly prior to posting your story. Please indicate your phone number, and best time of day or evening to contact you.
